D-Day - GOLD Beach

Allocated to British forces, GOLD beach lay between Arromanches and La Riviere and was the central sector of the D-Day invasion. The terrain here was low-lying with flat marshland behind the beach, some of it flooded as at UTAH, but was defended by a string of strongpoints, emplaced in beachfront houses and bunkers.
