Operation Crossbow on German television
Aerial photographs from NCAP are now the subject of a documentary on the ZDF channel in Germany about a top secret Second World War operation.
The BBC's Operation Crossbow documentary is to be broadcast in Germany on 29 July 2012. The programme makes extensive use of historic aerial imagery and research supplied by NCAP. It tells the story of Operation CROSSBOW, a secret Allied operation which used 3D aerial photography to hunt for Nazi V-weapons under development and then deployment. It covers the hunt for these weapons and the great efforts made to destroy them before they could make a decisive impact on the course of the Second World War.
