New batch of 5,000 images of Scotland released
A new batch of 5,097 historical oblique aerial photographs of Scotland has been digitised and released and is now accessible online. The photographs were taken in the late 1940's during Operation REVUE, the RAF post-war National Air Photograph Survey.
The images in this batch feature towns and places across Scotland, from Fort William, Oban and Mallaig in the west to Aberdeen, Macduff and Peterhead in the east, and from Cromarty and Wick in the north to Dumfries, Hawick and Stranraer in the south.
