Hong Kong images released
Over 9,100 aerial images of Hong Kong, taken between 1947 and 1959, have been released on the NCAP website.
All of our catalogued cover of Hong Kong is now accessible. Our website now shows over 11,000 images of Hong Kong dating from the 1920s to the 1960s.
These images show the variety of shipping vessels using Hong Kong harbour. Everything from small, traditional fishing boats to aircraft carriers and flying boats are visible. The expansion and development of Kowloon can also be tracked in these images.
