Part of Longman airfield, Inverness. A Junkers Ju-52 transport aircraft is visible at the extreme right of the image; this former German Luftwaffe aircraft served with British European Airways until 1947. At lower right is the front fuselage section of a Short Stirling bomber in the process of being scrapped.
