Description: A number of Landing Craft from the first waves of the D-Day landings lie grounded on SWORD Beach. A Landing Craft Tank, at left of centre, appears to be leaking oil after being hit by defenders or colliding with an underwater obstacle. On the beach south of this craft, three exits have been made by engineer equipment, probably bulldozers or blade-equipped tanks.
