Biographical/Historical Note This series of sorties was flown by ER 4/33, a French Air Force reconnaissance unit formed from elements of squadrons 1/33 and 2/33 during the 1956 Suez Crisis. Flying the Republic RF-84 Thunderstreak aircraft, the unit was based at Akrotiri, Cyprus, during the conflict.
