The image shows: Eastern end of temporary airfield (Saint-Pierre du Mont - ALG A1) with PSP runway and taxiways. 14 Republic P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft (366th Fighter Group) and a Martin B-26 Marauder (416th or 322nd Bombardment Group) dispersed around the perimeter on square parking mats. 12 tents along the southern tree-line of field adjacent to highway. Probable anti-aircraft battery to east of runway.
Wire-bound coastal defence position on cliff-edge with two possible radar antennae to rear, with sunken generator and control buildings between. Numerous defensive gun positions and pillboxes are observed on cliff edge with sunken crew bunkers adjacent.
