The image shows: Numerous Landing Ship Tanks (LST) washed up against pontoon 'Whale' roadway and on the beach. Flat topped 'Phoenix' prefabricated concrete breakwaters afloat and onshore. Merchant cargo and tanker ships offshore (one with barrage balloon aloft). Escort corvette-type warship. DUKW amphibious trucks shuttling between beach and ships. Numerous vehicles heading off beach and in vehicle parking areas south of piers. Numerous personnel tents and foxholes in fields to south west of port.
Grass landing strip for spotter aircraft to South of port - no aircraft observed.
